Alex Boyd is a master photographer based in Scotland. He asked us to design a couple of books based on a series of photoshoots around the Hebrides.

'The Broken Land' is a series of black and white images taken by a camera with a fractured lens. The images were taken around the Isle of Skye and St. Kilda at a low point in the photographer's life. The images are interspersed with the lyrics from 'Fireflies' from the Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds album 'Ghosteen' in both English and Scottish Gaelic.

'Halliaig' is a series of photos taken with infared film on the Isle of Raasay. the island is the birthplace of renowNed Scottish poet Sorley Maclean. The images are interspersed with the Gaelic poem 'Hallaig' with English translation.
