HebCelt 2025

When I first moved to the Island, I saw posters for HebCelt dotted around the town of Stornoway. I didn’t think it would ever happen, but I did dream of what I would have done had I been given the design brief for the visual identity.

Imagine my delight last October when the team at HebCelt contacted me to say they had accepted my proposal and then dream brief was now on my desk.

Within a week, I had 3 visions laid out, all of which I felt were strong and more than happy to go in whichever direction the HebCelt team wanted to take. The fertile creativity that week was a testament to the mental churning of possibilities for the branding throughout the year's attending the festival and interacting with the comms.

It has been a delight to work with the HebCelt team. When you're on board like this, you get a sense of the scale of planning and work that is needed, and I have a much deeper respect for them and the team of volunteers who make the festival such a joy for those heady few days in Summer.

This week, as the festival approaches, I'm expanding the brand further. I'm excited to take this vision up a few levels.
